Join Us in Shaping Future Builders!
We are excited to invite 1-2 employer partners to participate in engaging presentations and/or demonstrations for 9th-grade students. This event is a fantastic opportunity to educate young minds about the exciting possibilities within the construction field. Together, we can inspire the next generation of builders!
The event will last approximately 1 hour, during which 9th-grade students will be divided into smaller groups. They will rotate to hear from different professionals, with each presentation lasting about 12-15 minutes. This format ensures that students gain a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities in the construction field and what a typical day looks like.
Employers can present the DC Builds DC curriculum, "A Day in the Life of a Construction Worker," if they wish. This program offers important insights into the construction industry and seeks to inspire future professionals.
